Praveen Venkatagiri builds and runs healthcare services. He works as a healthcare systems operator and Medical Director, with a clinical background in paediatrics and newborn care. Since 2000 he has cared for newborns across tertiary hospitals in India and the United Kingdom, combining clinical excellence with a commitment to building healthcare systems that deliver safer, more consistent and more compassionate care.

Dr. Praveen's career has evolved beyond treating individual patients to designing systems that improve outcomes for thousands of children and families. He believes exceptional healthcare is created not only through clinical expertise, but also through strong teams, effective communication, continuous learning and a culture of quality.
Today his work spans clinical practice, medical leadership, quality improvement, simulation-based education, healthcare innovation and the strategic development of women's and children's hospitals.

Neonatal intensive care
Specialist care for extreme prematurity and complex neonatal conditions in high-acuity tertiary units, including the youngest baby cared for at 22 weeks and the smallest at approximately 400 grams.

Leading departmental protocols, handover efficiency and error reduction in critical care, then establishing and expanding multiple Level III neonatal services.
Hospital development
Developing an integrated women's and children's hospital, alongside quality improvement, simulation education and healthcare technology.
Current role
As Medical Director, Dr. Praveen oversees the strategic and clinical direction of a women's and children's healthcare institution, from clinical service design to operational readiness.
The mandate involves the seamless integration of services across obstetrics, paediatrics and clinical operations. It demands a holistic view of the hospital ecosystem, ensuring that administrative efficiency never compromises — but rather enhances — the standard of patient care.
